EURORDIS Black Pearl Awards 2020

EURORDIS Black Pearl Awards 2020

the EURORDIS Black Pearl Awards is back and it's time to nominate!

On 18th February 2020, EURORDIS-Rare Diseases Europe will be hosting their 9th edition of the EURORDIS Black Pearl Awards in the Le Plaza Hotel, Brussels. This event takes place in February to launch the month of Rare Disease Day and helps recognize the major achievements and outstanding commitment of patient advocates, patient organizations, policy makers, scientists, companies and media who strive to make a difference in the rare disease community.

As a former intern at the non-profit alliance of rare diseases, it was an honor to work for 9 months as their Events and Communications intern. I helped organize several of EURORDIS’ key European events, as well as helped with marketing campaigns and social media. It was a privilege playing a supporting role, organizing the EURORDIS Black Pearl Awards 2017, working alongside Sharon Ashton and Emilie Zingg, the Events Director and former Events Junior Manager at EURORDIS. It’s an unforgettable evening and there’s an electric atmosphere created when so many inspiring individuals from the rare disease community, who all share the same dedication and passion to raise awareness and strive for change, come together.
