NEW YORK, 16 of April 2025 – VOZ ADVISORS (VOZ) announced today that Yann Le Cam has joined the firm as Entrepreneur in Residence. Yann is a renowned patient advocate, best known for his 25-year role as CEO of EURORDIS – Rare Disease Europe, which he helped found. His career spans through cancer, HIV/AIDS, and rare diseases, in the USA, Europe, and internationally. As Entrepreneur in Residence, Yann will advise VOZ on strategic initiatives and provide direct counsel in select patient engagement projects.

“Yann is a visionary who has deep knowledge of the patient experience and believes firmly that business can and should prioritize the patient perspective in all endeavors – this is consistent with the values and mission of VOZ.  I am honored to count Yann as a friend and mentor for over 20 years and the opportunity to work with him directly is a dream come true,” said Cláudia Hirawat, VOZ’s owner and executive chair.

While leading EURORDIS, Yann shaped the cause of rare diseases by empowering a movement of over 2,000 patient organizations to address unmet patient and family needs through evidence-based patient advocacy. He led the Rare 2030 Foresight Study that lays a critical foundation for the future European Strategy for Rare Diseases, the advocacy campaign to include rare diseases in the UN Political Declarations on Universal Health Coverage globally, and the adoption of the UN Resolution addressing the needs of people living with rare diseases and their families.

Ronnie Todaro, VOZ’s President and CEO, said, “We are delighted to welcome Yann to our team. His knowledge, wisdom, and passion for advancing the voice of the patient are unparalleled. Yann strongly augments VOZ’s capabilities in supporting our clients on their efforts to engage and contribute with patients and patient organizations.”

“I am excited to join the vibrant VOZ team in advancing efforts in patient advocacy and engagement in the USA and internationally,” commented Yann Le Cam, adding, “The uptake of companies on patient science, engagement, and advocacy is rapidly growing, building new competences and methods. The challenge is to share insights and identify best practices, with pragmatism and professionalism, to enhance the core value of the treatment in addressing the patients’ unmet needs, while creating value shared by all other stakeholders. VOZ’s high level, experienced, committed colleagues have that unique capacity to be agile and smart to perform meaningful patient engagement.”
