The senior associate serves as a project leader supporting firm projects and providing client counsel as well as develop project deliverables related to firm assignments.

The position reports to a firm vice president but involves contact with and work for other colleagues.


  • Formulate and implement patient and professional group relations strategies consistent with clients’ short- and long-term objectives.
  • Serve as project lead on projects providing support to clients under direction of VPs.
  • Monitor a diverse number of tasks, ranging from writing expert presentations to handling logistical arrangements.
  • Organize, attend and facilitate project meetings and teleconferences with clients and advocacy partners.
  • Develop proposals and budgets. Responsible for negotiating and monitoring large budgets.
  • Manage both support and professional staff in developing project deliverables.
  • Generate new business through upselling current and identifying new potential clients.
  • Perform all other related duties as assigned.



  • Minimum of four to six years’ experience.
  • Graduate degree required, MPH preferred.
  • Solid understanding of healthcare, particularly specific therapeutic areas and the role of advocates in drug development and commercialization.
  • Excellent project management and meeting facilitation skills.
  • Relevant experience with non-profit groups or pharmaceutical advocacy relations.
  • Ability to counsel clients and broad range of their constituents.
  • Exceptional writing and communication skills.
  • Excellence in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Awareness of current social, economic, and political issues.

The Associate I serves as the firm’s primary researcher and supports project leaders in project planning and execution.


  • Assists project leaders with information gathering, and presentation and material development to provide clients with specified deliverables. Tasks include: o Routinely performs internet searches and secondary research to gather background information on pipeline and approved treatments, therapeutic areas, and disease conditions for new business pitches and client projects. o Coordinates logistics for conferences, client events, and firm under the supervision of a project lead. o Develops materials such as Q&As, fact sheets, post-meeting evaluation surveys, and other materials as requested by clients or determined in the scope of work outlined in a proposal. o Assists in developing project proposals and budgets. o Drafts and edits content for patient educational materials and newsletter articles.
  • Handles meeting follow-up details, such as drafting thank you notes, assembling meeting evaluations, and gathering of out-of-pocket expenses.
  • Researches, coordinates, and manages translators and translation for projects involving interviews with non-English speaking people
  • Develops organizational profiles of patient and professional organizations, and biographic profiles of advocacy group representatives and key opinion leaders.
  • Participates in client teleconferences, meetings, and off-site events to take notes and present research.
  • Manages printers, designers and other vendors.
  • Performs all other related duties as assigned.



  • College graduate with minimum of one year work experience in an office setting or combination of work experience and relevant internships
  • Strong interest in/understanding of healthcare
  • Strong written, oral communication and research skills
  • Competence in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Must be a self-starter able to work independently and under pressure, handle multiple projects simultaneously, and exercise judgment and discretion. Capable of prioritizing assignments and working with time-sensitive and confidential material.
  • Any additional languages spoken are a plus
  • Event planning experience a plus

The Associate II supports project leaders in project planning and execution.


  • Under the direction of the project lead: o Provide project support including writing reports, preparing materials for workshops, writing emails, and presenting to internal client teams. o Formulating and implementing patient and professional group strategies consistent with the client’s short-and long-term objectives. o Develop proposals and budgets. o Participate in developing counsel to clients on pressing issues. o Represent clients’ needs to targeted patient and professional groups through meetings, teleconferences, and correspondence, as assigned. o May communicate with clients to present and discuss results, understand company needs and offer counsel and direction.
  • Develop relationships with members of client teams.
  • Organize, attend, and participate in client team meetings and presentations.
  • Serve as a resource to the firm on specialized medical and/or scientific information, as needed.
  • Performs all other related duties as assigned.



  • College graduate with minimum of two to three years’ experience in an office setting. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Knowledge of patient and professional group relations. Additional knowledge of medical education, medical marketing, public relations, and public affairs is preferred.
  • Knowledge of medical science and the regulatory approval process of pharmaceutical products.
  • Relevant experience with non-profit health associations and an understanding of third-party groups.
  • Exceptional verbal and writing skills.
  • Excellence in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Proficiency in internet research, including major search engines.

The Finance Associate is responsible for supporting the finance & operations department with invoicing, collections, account payables, project maintenance, credit card bill reconciliation, and vendor communication. This position reports directly to the Director of Finance.


  • Produce all invoices including:
    • Coordinate and process invoice to be sent out to client.
    • Maintaining the billing system.
    • Maintaining accounts receivable files and records.
    • Gathering appropriate back-up records (receipts, phone call records, etc.) in coordination with project leaders.
    • Collecting and processing all out of pocket receipts incurred by associates and matching to specific project invoices.
    • Editing and sending invoices for fees and out-of-pocket income to clients.
  • Collect payments for the firm including:
    • Maintaining an Excel accounts receivable invoice register.
    • Update accounts receivable and issue invoices.
    • Confirming due dates of payments from clients by telephone, e-mail and other means as appropriate.
  • Accounts payables:
    • Enter, code and verify accounts payable vouchers in QuickBooks.
    • Keeping track of all payments and expenditures, including payroll, purchase orders, invoices, statements, etc.
    • Paying vendors by scheduling pay checks and ensuring payment is received for outstanding credit; generally responding to all vendor enquiries regarding finance.
    • Code and reconcile monthly American Express bill ensuring all appropriate items are passed through to clients with proper entry into general ledger.
  • General accounting
    • Create bank reconciliation.
    • Assist in processing of year-end Misc.1099 forms.
    • Assist in processing Value Add Tax refund claims monthly (VAT).
    • Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded.
  • Operations
    • Create and maintain project folders.
    • Create project codes.
    • Updated project tracker.
    • Track and maintain Excel spread sheet of client master service agreement.
  • Perform all other related duties as assigned.



  • Minimum two to three years’ work experience in accounts receivable, accounts payable, and administration.
  • Bachelor of Arts in business or accounting preferred or five years or more experience working in this field.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Proven attention to detail.
  • Strong analytic and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure, and exercise judgment and discretion.
  • Capable of working with time-sensitive and confidential material.
  • Competence in Windows 2010 or higher and Office 2010 (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Knowledge of QuickBooks required.
