Job Duties:
● Responsible for leading projects and providing support to clients under the direction of a Vice President, including:
— Serves as account lead for single-client accounts.
— Executes a diverse number of tasks, ranging from writing expert presentations to overseeing project management.
— Facilitates project meetings and teleconferences with clients.
— Formulates patient group relations strategies consistent with clients’ short- and long-term objectives.
— Presents final deliverables to clients, including in high-profile settings.
— Facilitates multi-stakeholder meetings, including managing break-out groups, patient and advocate advisory boards, and leading interviews with patients, advocates and biopharmaceutical company employees.
— Delegates to and provides guidance to junior staff on project teams, ensuring teams provide high quality deliverables.
● Takes leadership role for VOZ special initiatives with a focus on health equity; working closely with the Senior Management Team, including:
— Responsible for ensuring that VOZ and its clients have expert knowledge of public health structures, practices and policies impacting social determinants of health.
— Provides strategic counsel to internal teams and clients, presenting high impact opportunities to engage in health equity related strategies and initiatives.
— Acts as project lead where health equity expertise is required including assessments of patient organization capacity and structure, health equity trends and initiatives, and patient and advocate engagement trends and patterns.
— Collects and analyzes data to identify community needs prior to planning, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating programs designed to encourage policies and environments that support quality health care.
— Develops programs and materials that educate about health topics and teach people how to manage existing health conditions; evaluates effectiveness of programs and materials.
— Advocates for improved health resources and policies that empower patients to receive better healthcare.
● Serves as an internal expert on Latin America, including:
— Analyzes country level research, and builds strategies that ensure culturally appropriate and productive engagement of global/Latin American clients and Latin American patient organizations and NGOs. 
— Serves as a resource to assist individuals, healthcare workers, and the community, to support disease awareness education programs and develop alliances with biopharmaceutical companies.
— Develops and provides insights to clients on public health structures, in country practices, and overarching key elements that may impact patient involvement in drug development processes; assesses health needs of the people and communities key to our clients.
— Offers recommendations that provide high impact opportunities to clients interested in integrating the Latin American patient voice into drug development.
— Acts as liaison with key leaders in Latin America (clients and patient organizations).
● Develops external communications to showcase VOZ and client work, including LinkedIn posts, marketing materials, and conference panels/speaking opportunities.
● Responsible for individual financial goal and develops new business through upselling, including:
— Engages in business development activities with a focus on health-equity -related projects to grow existing business and secure new clients.
● Serves as administrative manager and mentor to junior staff and encourages professional and personal development.

Job Requirements:
Master’s or equivalent degree in Public Health or closely related field.
5 years of relevant work experience.
Experience must include:
● Working with multi-sectoral partners, including biopharmaceutical companies, public health authorities, and patient communities (individual patients and professional advocates).
● Working with public and private healthcare systems, practices, policies and interventions in the United States and Latin America;
● Health equity issues and trends relevant to the biopharmaceutical industry in the US and Latin America.
● Qualitative and quantitative research and data collection tools including: planning and conducting focus groups; patient experience mapping; structured interviews with patients, caregivers and providers; development and analysis of data collected through polls, questionnaires, and surveys.
● Development and evaluation of health-related campaigns and initiatives.
● Stages of the drug development continuum including discovery, pre-clinical and clinical development, regulatory review and approval, obtaining access and post marketing activities.
● Different stakeholders across the drug development continuum (e.g., regulators, payers, sponsors) and nuances in different regions (e.g., regulatory policies in the US vs Latin America).
● Developing private sector fundraising and/or business development strategies.

May telecommute and report as needed to headquarters in New York, NY.
Salary range for this position is $79,997-$115,000.
