Katie Wakiyama

Katie takes on each client’s business question with a thoughtful, customized approach that leads to actionable insights and recommendations. She is an expert in building connections across communities through her empathetic mindset and deep expertise in working directly with patients, care partners, and health care providers. Katie believes that embedding the patient voice into therapeutics development from day one is essential and mutually beneficial for our clients and patient communities. At VOZ, her work is driven by a desire to improve patient experiences and outcomes.

Prior to joining VOZ, at C Space Health, Katie designed qualitative and quantitative research methods to address pharmaceutical business challenges across the drug development cycle. Throughout the end-to-end research process, from analysis to recommendations, Katie focused on bringing the authentic patient experience to the forefront of business efforts. Katie has worked across a variety of disease states including dermatology, rare disease, and oncology during her years in market research.

Katie obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Strategic Communications from Elon University in North Carolina and currently resides in Boston, Massachusetts.
