Sean Carr

Associate, Client Services

Sean translates research and patient feedback into actionable insights.  He brings a passion for creating change through patient advocacy and engagement approaches that further understanding of the patient narrative and interconnected factors that influence health. Sean’s experience with international health systems drives his understanding of and interest in global drug development and access.

Prior to joining VOZ, Sean worked at the Bellevue Program for Survivors of Torture as an advocate for asylum seekers. He coordinated access to public health resources, including legal, social, mental health, and physical health care services. Additionally, he served as a medical interpreter at the hospital’s primary care clinic and coordinated the program’s scholarship initiative.

Sean holds a Bachelor of Arts in Global Public Health and Anthropology from New York University and a Master of Public Health in Health Policy and Management from the Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health in New York, NY. He also holds a certificate in Health Policy Analysis from the same institution. Sean is fluent in Spanish.
